Kendi / Bejana air: Segala ilmu dan teknik beladiri tradisional orang Melayu yang perlu ditimba oleh setiap lapisan masyarakat terkumpul di dalam Silat Seni Gayong.&#13;
Bumi: Misi mengembangkan Silat Seni Gayong ke seluruh dunia.&#13;
Bengkung Harimau Pelangi Hitam Cula Sakti 7: Kuasa Mahaguru sebagai eksekutif pentadbiran dan ilmu tertinggi.&#13;
Warna Putih: Bersih dan suci dari segala bentuk syirik, bidaah dan khurafat.&#13;
Warna Hijau: Mempertahankan Islam sebagai agama Ad-din.&#13;

              <text>Pengasas perguruan Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia adalah Almarhum Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman bin Daeng Uda Md. Hashim, cucu kepada Daeng Kuning. Daeng Kuning atau lebih dikenali dengan gelaran Panglima Hitam adalah salah satu daripada lima adik-beradik anak raja Bugis yang mendarat di Tanah Melayu bagi mencari tempat untuk memulakan penghidupan baru. Tempat pendaratan mereka pada ketika itu disebut sebagai Pengkalan Aur yang mana kini lebih dikenali sebagai Air Kuning, Taiping. Baginda terus menetap di situ sementara yang lainnya meneruskan pengembaraan mereka. Daeng Kuning mangkat di Taiping dalam tahun 1875.&#13;

Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman bin Daeng Uda Md. Hashim, waris keturunan Daeng Kuning telah dilahirkan di Taiping pada 17hb Ogos 1915. Beliau mula mempelajari ilmu persilatan ketika berusia 12 tahun daripada datuknya, Syed Zainal Abidin Al-Attas. Syed Zainal atau Tuk Jenai pada ketika itu adalah seorang penghulu di Pekan merupakan seorang pendekar Pahang yang terkenal dengan perjuangannya menentang penjajahan Inggeris bersama-sama Allahyarham Mat Kilau, Dato’ Bahaman (orang Kaya Semantan) dan rakan-rakannya. Beliau telah berundur dan berkeluarga di Taiping hinggalah dikurniakan beberapa orang anak, diantaranya Syarifah Alauyah iaitu ibu kepada Dato’ Mahaguru Meor Abdul Rahman.&#13;
&#13;
Setelah ilmu persilatannya dikhatamkan, Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman mula dikenali ramai. Ketika berumur 19 tahun, beliau telah dipanggil menunjukkan kebolehannya di hadapan Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, Almarhum Sultan Alang Iskandar di Istana Bukit Chandan dan diberi gelaran Panglima Sendo Perak (The Invincible Warrior of Perak) dan tinggal di istana buat beberapa ketika sehingga baginda mangkat pada tahun 1938.&#13;
&#13;
Kehebatan Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman dalam bidang persilatan turut menyerlahkan dirinya ketika berhijrah ke Singapura pada tahun 1938. Beliau merupakan anak Melayu pertama ditugaskan sebagai jurulatih seni mempertahankan diri kepada Signal Corps dibawah pemerintahan Lt. Kol Pope di Gullman Barrack, Singapura. Kerana tidak mahu dirinya dijajah, beliau berundur ke Pulau Sudong, 12 km dari Singapura dalam tahun 1941 apabila tentera Jepun menyerang Singapura. Disinilah kali pertama Silat Seni Gayong mula diperkenalkan kepada sekumpulan tujuh orang belia, iaitu pada 17hb Februari 1942 jam 11.00 pagi. Di pulau tersebut dan pulau-pulau sekitarnya, beliau telah membuktikan kepintaran dan keberaniannya memperdaya, menewaskan tentera Jepun serta melindungi penduduk di pulau tersebut.&#13;
&#13;
Atas kegigihan beliau, maka merebaklah pengaruhnya hingga Silat Seni Gayong berkembang ke pulau-pulau Indonesia, Singapura dan Semenanjung Tanah Melayu. Diatas jasanya yang cemerlang ketika bertugas di cawangan jenayah serta sumbangannya kepada Kerajaan British ketika menentang pendudukan Jepun di Singapura dan Malaya, beliau telah dikurniakan pingat King George V oleh baginda Ratu Elizabeth yang mana pada ketika itu Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman telah pun menjadi anggota polis di Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah, Singapura.&#13;
&#13;
Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman terus gigih mengembangkan Silat Seni Gayong ke seluruh Tanah Melayu dan Singapura bermula dari tahun 1948. Setelah bersara dari pasukan polis, beliau telah menubuhkan Seni Gayong School di Woodland, Singapura pada 3 Disember 1960.&#13;
&#13;
Pada tahun 1959, Allahyarham Dato’ Onn bin Jaafar, pengasas UMNO dan penentang Malayan Union telah masuk menjadi ahli Silat Seni Gayong. Memandangkan sambutan terhadap seni silat ini begitu menggalakkan, beliau mencadangkan supaya ianya didaftarkan. Hasil usaha nasionalis Melayu ini serta Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman sendiri, seni silat ini telah berjaya didaftarkan di Johor bahru pada 22hb Oktober, 1963 (No. Pendaftaran 361) atas nama Pertubuhan Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia. Ianya merupakan pertubuhan silat yang pertama sekali berdaftar dan kini merupakan perguruan silat terbesar di Malaysia.&#13;
&#13;
Silat Seni Gayong terus berkembang pesat di Semenanjung Malaysia di bawah kepimpinan Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman. Usaha dan pengorbanannya mengembangkan seni silat ini telah dirakam oleh Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, Duli Yang Maha Mulia Almarhum Sultan Idris dengan pengurniaan pingat Darjah Paduka Cula Si Manja Kini (DPCM) yang membawa kepada gelaran Dato’. Almarhum Dato’ Meor Abdul Rahman bin Daeng Uda Md. Hashim mangkat di Taiping pada 23hb Jun 1991 ketika berusia 76 tahun.</text>
